The Famous Tatara Brothers
Chop big or go home
A quick glance is enough to realize that these knives are anything but your ordinary standard knives. Both pieces stand out with their extraordinary shape, sharpness and beauty.
Our journey into the world of knives began with the hand forged Tatara, which did not take long to win the sympathies of our customers. After a lot of feedback we decided to launch a second generation of the legendary Tatara knife in cooperation with our trusted blacksmith - and this with great success.
The high-carbon steel blade of the Tatara is shaped by hand before being heat treated using the traditional techniques of master blacksmiths. The old and secretive hardening technology which is based on generations of know how gives the knife a hardness between 59 and 60 HRC. This not only provides extreme and long-lasting sharpness but also makes the sharpening process easy for you.
The Tatara Evolution is the second generation of our famous Tatara knife and is one of the bestsellers in our shop. No wonder, as it is razor sharp, beautiful and very robust. The front part of the blade is designed to be thin so that fine and precise cutting work can be done with it. The back part is a bit thicker and ideal for cutting through harder vegetables and meat. Due to the wide shape, it is not only easy to cut large and hard vegetables, but the knife can also be used as a scoop to move the ingredients from your chopping board into the pan or onto a plate.
Treat yourself to this bestseller Power Duo from Wasabi Knives and experience two generations of traditional blacksmithing in your kitchen.
