The visual appearance alone suggests: A boning knife is designed for special use. Its long narrow blade is slightly curved and sharpened on both sides. This makes the knife particularly suitable for removing cartilage and tendons, for releasing bones, for peeling skin and for cutting meat or poultry.
Thanks to its narrow blade shape, the knife can be guided closely along the bone. In addition, the slender tip can be turned easily in any direction in the meat, and the strong handle supports the transmission of force. This makes working with a boning knife not only effective but also easy - and thanks to the excellent blade sharpness and its good feel, it is also a lot of fun.
